Do I need prior cycling experience to ride an e-bike?
Not at all! Our e-bikes are designed for riders of all skill levels. The electric pedal assist makes riding effortless, even on hills. We provide a brief safety orientation before every rental to ensure you feel confident and comfortable.
What is included in the rental price?
Every rental includes the e-bike, a helmet, a lock, basic insurance, and a safety briefing. Full-day and family packages also include GPS route guides, roadside assistance, and a water bottle.
How long does the battery last?
Our e-bikes offer up to 80km range on a single charge — more than enough to explore the entire island. Actual range depends on terrain, rider weight, and assist level. French Island’s gentle terrain means you’ll get excellent battery life.
Can children ride e-bikes?
We offer kid-sized e-bikes for children aged 6-12. For younger children, we have child seats (rear-mounted, for ages 9 months to 4 years) and child trailers (for up to 2 children under 6). All child equipment meets international safety standards.
What happens if the bike breaks down?
Full-day and family packages include free roadside assistance. Simply call our support number and we will come to you with a replacement bike. For hourly rentals, you can contact our store and we will arrange help as quickly as possible.
Can I return the bike to a different store?
We currently operate from our French Island store only. As we expand to new locations across Victoria and NSW, one-way rentals between stores will become available.
What is your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your scheduled pickup. Cancellations within 24 hours are subject to a 50% charge. No-shows are charged the full amount. See our Refund Policy for complete details.
Do I need to bring my own helmet?
No! We provide helmets in all sizes (including children sizes) free of charge with every rental. Of course, you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
